Fireside Academy
Fireside Academy Community Co-op for Homeschoolers is a not-for-profit organization, offering support and encouragement to parents who are teaching their children at home through traditional and cyber-education methods. Fireside Academy offers enrichment classes and extra-curricular activities. The website and free on-line newsletter keep families informed of upcoming events and opportunities for families of Lehigh and Northampton Counties of Pennsylvania, as well as western New Jersey.

As a Tri-State area resident, Mrs. Rebecca Redding is currently accepting new students for tutoring in English or Literature. Mrs. Redding has a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Wilson College and is an ACSI-certified teacher at Broadfording Christian Academy. Mrs. Redding is very interested in helping children/young adults learn how to better express themselves through the written word. She has also instructed specific classes and presentations for co-ops and home school groups, and is willing to provide classes or sessions with the following topics:

Spanish & Sign Language: Ages 4 – 7.
In this class, children are exposed to the wonderful world of Spanish through the use of songs and rhymes. The addition of American Sign Language hand signs gives the students a visual association for the unfamiliar words, and aids in their retention. Coloring pages, puzzles, and games are provided.

HATS is an educational organization in partnership with Hempfield Homeschool Support Group and the Central Lancaster County Homeschool Choir and Orchestra. HATS meets 30 weeks throughout the school year providing classes for the high school level homeschooled student.
