CAP Homeschool Cooperative
A fine arts Christian based co-op meant to enrich the at-home experience. What: Curriculum is based on a differing period of history each year. Core classes are: Art, History, Drama and Music. Electives are: Creative Writing, Speech, Science, P.E. and Literature. Who: K4 through 8th grades. Older siblings are eligible to be assistants. One parent must volunteer at the co-op. When: Tuesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. (Electives are scheduled directly before and after this time frame.) Classes begin September 6, 2011 and end April 17, 2012. Where: The Church at Shelby Crossings. Costs: $35.00 one time per child supply fee, $20.00 per month (August through April) per family administrative fee, $75.00 one time per family building fee. Southern Artworks
Southern Artworks is a co-op for elementary and secondary students. On Mondays, the subjects studied are science, history, art, music and drama with a historical theme. 2010-2011 year's theme is Medieval Times and Renaissance (500-1600AD) On Wednesday, secondary students (7th-12th) study literature, creative writing, math,(Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry) science (Biology,General Science, Physical Science, Chemistry, Human Body), and government. Field trips, programs, science fair, and fun activities are planned throughout the school year.

Northside Academy was formed as a ministry of Northside Bible Church, to enable parents to take responsibility for their children’s academic, emotional and moral growth through teaching at home. We believe in the family and in its ability as an institution to instruct children in the most positive and loving environment possible. Birmingham Homeschooling K-3 co-op
This group is designed to allow homeschool children K5-3rd grade level, an opportunity to interact with each other in a classroom environment. We are located in Birmingham Al and invite anyone in the surrounding areas to join us. Our goal is to introduce the children to a different subject/theme each month and let them learn while also being creative through music, crafts and other social and educational outlets. Older and younger siblings are invited to attend. We have separate rooms for younger ones and the older children can help with lesson plans and crafts.
