ArtBug Mail - This is a new resource for homeschooling families, designed by a homeschooling family in BC, Canada. Frëë art tutorials and art software designed especially for 4 – 10 year olds are available from their website. A private online art gallery service for children (allowing them to easily archive their own work) and the first completely safe art email service for children as young as four years old are offered as a low-cost resource but are not required to access the fr๋๋ resources. Angela and Jon have made their own children's art galleries viewable on their website to give other families an idea of what their own children's art galleries could look like. Family membership on the website (for up to four children), is $5.95 per month and the annual family membership offers best value, equivalent to $4.83 per month, but you can use it at NO COST for the rest of 2007. A. Pintura, Art Detective - Eduplace has put together a fun site for teaching the difference between the masters. Using a "choose your own adventure" format, visitors explore the artists while trying to determine who created a painting that the main character, Miss Featherduster, found in her attic. If the visitor chooses an incorrect solution, the site will point them back on the right track. A. Pintura is a fun way to pull some learning into summer. (M)
